HAMISH MARISSEN-CLARK is a playwright, lyricist, director, and actor who loves all things wry, daring, and fundamentally theatrical. Hamish holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre from NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, where he was in the Music Theatre Certificate Program and the Music Theatre Writing module, and where he also received what is historically known as the Department Award for Excellence in Acting. In 2018, Hamish was the national first-place winner of Poetry in Voice. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
Hamish considers Sondheim, Jordan Tannahill, Daniel Fish, Peter Jorgensen, Chekhov, Sandra Ferens, Michael R. Jackson, Carolina Bianchi, and Brent Carver some of his most significant inspirations.
