HAMISH MARISSEN-CLARK is a playwright, lyricist, director, and actor who loves art that could only possibly exist in a theatre. The theatre is one of the last places where we listen to real people, in real time, in real space – to Hamish, this grants it a unique ability to confront, console, and genuinely surprise an audience.

He considers Jordan Tannahill, Stephen Sondheim, Daniel Fish, Peter Jorgensen, Anton Chekhov, Sandra Ferens, Michael R. Jackson, Carolina Bianchi, and Brent Carver some of his most significant inspirations.
